Melinda Gates said “Strong women empower other women”.
While significant progress has been made towards gender equality in Australia, there is still much work to be done to ensure workplaces offer the same opportunities and rewards for men and women alike.
Women continue to be underrepresented in leadership positions and board roles. The gender pay gap in Queensland is among the highest in the country, at 18 per-cent. And yet, gender equality will benefit everyone. This is a joint effort that transcends gender and industry and will drastically improve the social and economic future of Queenslanders.
So let’s empower one another at the 6th Annual Women in Leadership Summit Brisbane.
Are you having difficulty getting your voice heard as the only woman in the room? Do you want to become more aware of strategies for eliminating unconscious bias? How can you be an assertive and effective female leader?
Hear from Queensland’s leading public and private sector figures. Soak up the wisdom of those who have gone before you, share and learn from their experiences. Attend this conference and realise your potential.
We know that equality matters. We’re confident that the number of women in leadership positions needs to increase. But how do we turn these truths into a reality? What are the next steps? In this workshop you will be provided with practical strategies for how to transform into a stronger leader that can change your organisation from within.
There will be opportunities for self-reflection, goal setting and strategy-development so that you will walk away from this workshop with the confidence and the skills to further establish yourself as a leader, or better support emerging leaders.
