Executive Producer – Partnerships
Nine
Kate Muller has worked in television news for more than 15 years. Beginning as a reporter and producer at 7 News, she moved across to Nine in 2012 to work in the Brisbane newsroom. She produced 6pm news bulletins and was the first Executive Producer of the state’s dedicated daytime news bulletins before her first leadership role, as Director of News in Darwin. As a young manager, Kate learned how to navigate tricky managerial decisions, while also being responsible for the daily production of the Territory’s local 6pm news bulletin.
In 2016, she returned to Brisbane to lead the network’s Regional News bureaus before switching over the business side of media, becoming the first Executive Producer of Partnerships in 2022. Kate’s role involves managing the commercial partnerships involving the 9News and Current Affairs brands.
Kate is also the convenor of Women In Media Queensland, a not for profit organisation that aims to support and empower women working in all fields of media. She is passionate about uplifting and motivating women, especially the younger generation - who right now have the potential to create real, meaningful change in their workplaces.
