Nicky Chung has been the CEO of the Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association since August 2022.
AVWA is a not-for-profit organisation employing 411 staff providing culturally appropriate care and community services across 4 offices in Victoria. Their annual revenue places them in the top 4.5% of charities in Australia.
Nicky has held leadership roles that have focused on people, culture, community and strategy for the past 15 years. She graduated from the Senior Executive MBA program at Melbourne Business School in 2022.
Nicky and her family arrived in Australia in 1979 as refugees after the Vietnam war. She is a respite foster carer, proud Rotarian and is active on community boards.
